How I planted cucumbers, zucchini, and pumpkin seedlings

According to the Lunar calendar, it is recommended to plant pumpkin seedlings (cucumbers, zucchini, pumpkin) in a greenhouse on April 21-22.

I picked cucumber seeds at random because of the varieties I wanted to plant (Zasolochnye, Nezhinskie), and I also decided to try some bush varieties. My favorite varieties, Zyatek and Teschin Tozhok, couldn't find them. When I find them, I'll buy them and plant them directly in the ground, I think. For now, I'm starting the seeds in the greenhouse to start seedlings, so I can transplant them later.

I don't like growing white zucchini; they harden when stored for too long, although young ones are certainly good. I prefer zucchini; their flesh stays tender for a long time. I chose the hybrid variety "Tigrenok." I like it and it's easy to grow.

I prefer my own pumpkin seeds. But this year I decided to try new ones. I bought the Rossiyanka, Bolshoi Max, Lechebnaya, and the ornamental small variety.

Typically, it's recommended to soak seeds for disinfection in Zircon or potassium permanganate, but this should only be done with home-grown seeds. Store-bought seeds are pre-treated and don't need soaking.

A little later, I'll be planting tomato seedlings in the same greenhouse, so I marked out their planting locations (I made holes in advance). I planted the pumpkin seedlings between these holes. I removed a small layer of soil, watered them with warm rainwater, placed the seeds, and covered them with soil.

Then I covered the plantings with lutrasil. Even though it's in a greenhouse, the weather is very cold, with frosts at night. I might not have to cover them later, but I'm not taking any chances now.

Advice: This is worth doing if you don’t have space, but it’s still preferable to grow seedlings at home.
