It's already the second half of May. Time to plant pumpkins. I love their healthy, sweet flesh and snow-white, delicious seeds. This year I want to grow large ones: the Vitaminnaya and Parisian nutmeg.
I prepared a special bed for her.
I placed cardboard underneath, and mown grass on top. This will serve as insulation for the bed. Then I sprinkled some soil on top and laid down some rotted manure, which I also covered with soil.
The result was a fairly high, warm, and fertilized bed. Just what a pumpkin needs.
I hope she likes it and will delight us with a harvest.
Advice from Top.tomathouse.com: This bed is good for all melons (zucchini, squash, etc.)
